This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled by the MATE Marriage Readiness Test (hereinafter "Service").

The Service does not require sign-up, login, or any account system. It operates on a session cookie-based system without user registration.

Important: MATE Test does not directly collect or store payment method information (card numbers, etc.). All payment information is processed directly by Paddle.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • Personally identifiable information such as names, phone numbers, or national ID numbers
  • Test question responses (calculated only in the browser)
  • IP addresses (not stored directly)

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

3.1 Essential Cookies

This cookie is essential for service operation and cannot be disabled. It is used to manage purchase history when using paid services.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Paddle acts as a Merchant of Record and directly collects and processes payment-related information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

5.1 Session Data

  • Session data is retained for up to 1 year after the last access
  • Sessions inactive for 1 year are automatically deleted
  • Deleting browser cookies will disconnect the session, and a new session will be created afterward

5.2 Purchase Records

  • Purchase records are retained for the period required by law for tax and legal obligations
  • Payment records separately maintained by Paddle follow Paddle's retention policy

6. Your Rights

  • Cookie Deletion: You can delete session cookies through your browser settings. However, deleting them will result in loss of access to purchase history.
  • Analytics Opt-out: To opt out of Google Analytics data collection, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Payment Information: For requests to access, correct, or delete payment information held by Paddle, please contact [email protected] and we will forward your request to Paddle.
  • Data Deletion Request: If you wish to delete your session data, please contact [email protected].

7. Managing Cookies

You can manage or block cookies in most web browsers.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security

Blocking essential cookies (session) may restrict the use of paid services. The free test functionality is available without cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data Security

  • Session cookies are protected with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite attributes
  • All communications are encrypted via HTTPS
  • Payment information is processed in Paddle's PCI DSS-certified environment
  • Database access is only available through authenticated APIs

10. Policy Changes

If this policy is updated, changes and the new effective date will be posted on this page. For changes that significantly affect paid service users, notice will be provided through the Service at least 7 days before the effective date.
