1. Service Description

The MATE Marriage Readiness Test (hereinafter "Service") analyzes relationship tendencies across four dimensions (Closeness, Life Rhythm, Conflict Style, and Management) and provides a 4-letter type code (16 types) for self-understanding. The Service consists of a free basic analysis and a paid premium analysis.

This Service is provided for entertainment and self-understanding purposes only.

  • It is not medical, legal, or professional counseling advice
  • Test results are not a scientific diagnostic tool
  • Do not make important life decisions based on the results
  • If you need professional help, please consult a qualified professional

3. Personal Information

This Service uses cookies for session management, and when using paid services, certain information is shared with a third party (Paddle) for payment processing. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, test questions, and result interpretations of this Service are the intellectual property of the operator. Reproduction, distribution, or modification for commercial purposes without prior written consent is prohibited. Personal sharing and non-commercial use are permitted. Unauthorized redistribution of paid content is prohibited.

5. Advertising

This Service may display third-party advertisements to cover operational costs. Advertising content is not produced by the Service operator, and we do not endorse the advertised products or services.

6. Limitation of Liability

The operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of this Service. The Service is provided "as is," and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of results. Even for paid services, no warranty is provided regarding the accuracy or suitability of the content.

7. Service Modification and Discontinuation

The operator may modify, suspend, or terminate the Service. In the case of paid services, a prorated refund for the unused subscription period will be provided upon service termination.

8. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be changed, and any changes will be posted on this page with the effective date. For changes that are disadvantageous to paid service users, notice will be provided through the Service at least 7 days before the effective date.

9. User Eligibility

This Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. Users under 16 may be restricted from using the Service.

10. Paid Services (Premium Analysis)

10.1 Free Content

The following items are provided free of charge:

  • 16-question quiz and 4-letter type code
  • Type nickname and one-line summary
  • Marriage readiness signal (Ready / Warming / Need Work)
  • Compatibility type codes (Best / Good / Challenging)
  • 1 strength (first of 3)

10.2 Premium Content

The following items are available after purchase:

  • Additional strength analysis (remaining 2)
  • Watch-out points (3)
  • Conversation questions for your partner (3)
  • Personalized advice
  • Detailed compatibility analysis

10.3 Product Types

11. Payment and Pricing

11.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Paddle.com Market Limited (hereinafter "Paddle"). Paddle is an authorized Merchant of Record that directly handles payments, taxes, and refunds.

11.2 Pricing

  • Prices are based on the amount displayed at the time of payment
  • Prices may change with prior notice
  • Existing subscribers' prices are maintained until the end of their current billing cycle
  • All prices include applicable taxes (handled by Paddle)

11.3 Payment Methods

Payments can be made through payment methods supported by Paddle (credit cards, PayPal, etc.).

12. Subscription and Cancellation

12.1 Billing Cycle

Monthly subscriptions auto-renew on a monthly basis from the purchase date.

12.2 Cancellation

  • Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time
  • After cancellation, premium content remains accessible until the end of the current billing cycle
  • No charges will be applied from the next billing cycle after cancellation

12.3 How to Cancel

You can cancel through the management link in the subscription confirmation email sent by Paddle, or by contacting [email protected].

13. Refund Policy

For detailed refund conditions, please refer to the Refund Policy page. Key points:

  • Under Paddle's Buyer Terms, you may request withdrawal within 14 days of the transaction date
  • Single / Couple Analysis: Full refund available within 14 days if premium content has not been viewed
  • Monthly Subscription: Full refund available within 14 days of the first payment if content has not been viewed
  • Once content has been viewed, your right of withdrawal is waived as agreed at the time of purchase
  • All refunds are processed through Paddle

14. Session and Authentication

14.1 Session-Based System

This Service manages purchase history through session cookies, without requiring registration or login.

14.2 Session Management Responsibility

  • Sessions are stored in browser cookies
  • Deleting cookies will result in loss of access to purchase history
  • The operator is not responsible for loss of purchase history due to cookie deletion by the user
  • Purchase confirmation emails (sent by Paddle) can be used as proof of purchase

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court located in the operator's jurisdiction as the court of first instance. However, payment-related disputes through Paddle are subject to Paddle's terms of service.
